Spine Correction
Class benefits
About this class
The direction and degree of a spinal curve differ from person to person — and a different curve calls for different exercise.
A spine-type analysis programme: we identify your spinal type first, then train in a 1:2 setting tailored to it.
From hyperlordosis and hyperkyphosis to flat back and sway back, the same movement is coached differently for each type.
The 4 spinal types — which one is your back?
#1Hyperlordosis
An excessively deep lower-back curve
#2Hyperkyphosis
An excessively rounded upper back
#3Flat back
A curve that has flattened out too much
#4Sway back
The whole back rolled forward
Do any of these sound familiar?
- Your lower back looks excessively arched inward
- Your upper back looks rounded forward
- Your back feels flat and stiff
- Your back and lower back tire quickly when sitting for long
If any of these apply, start by identifying your spinal type.
How the class runs
- 1STEP 1 · Myofascial release (15–20 min) — we loosen the stiff areas first
- 2STEP 2 · Breathing work (5 min) — becoming aware of alignment and core engagement
- 3STEP 3 · Main session (25–30 min) — corrective exercise matched to your type
Release → become aware → train. That sequence is the heart of correction.
The same movement, different by type
Even in the same movement, the muscles to focus on and the direction of motion change with your type. That is why we keep it to 1:2 — so we can pinpoint exactly what you need.
